Funny River trailer burns

A trailer home in the Funny River area was destroyed by fire Wednesday evening. No one was injured in the blaze.

Central Emergency Services firefighters were dispatched to the residential fire at about 9:15 p.m., arrived on scene at 9:23 and had the fire under control by 9:59, but not before the trailer home was destroyed, according to a fire department spokesperson. The fire was declared out at 10:09 p.m. An investigation into the fire is ongoing, and the cause has not been determined.

CES responded with one fire engine and two tankers, a medic unit and three support vehicles to transport firefighters. The Funny River Volunteer Fire Department responded with one firefighter and one support vehicle.
