Christmas cookies still available

The Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ will hold its 25th annual Christmas cookie sale. The boxed cookies come in assorted varieties and are sold on a preorder basis only. Cookies cost $4 per dozen. Capitol move meeting planned

Anyone interested in discussing moving the state of Alaska legislature from Juneau to Anchorage should attend this public meeting from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2 at the Kenai Peninsula Borough assembly room. For more information call 283-4268.

Remembrance celebration set

Hospice of the Central Peninsula is hosting a "Celebration of Remembrance" from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna. Participants can light a candle in the sanctuary in remembrance of a loved one who has died. Desserts and live music will be available in the fellowship hall. Angel ornaments will be sold for $10. Historical society to meet

The Soldotna Historical Society will hold its board of directors meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday at River City Books. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call Barbara Jewell at 262-4157.
