Midnight Sun to hold tryouts
Peninsula Midnight Sun Volleyball Club is holding tryouts at Kenai Central High School on Dec. 13 and 15 from 7:30 to 9:30 for players in grades 8 to 12. Practices are held Monday and Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 at KCHS beginning in January. Tournaments take place once or twice per month from January through early April. Lauren Brewer and Brandon Pilatti were married Aug. 21, 2010, at the Alaska West Air float plane grounds, Island Lake, Nikiski, were they grew up as neighbors. Officiating was Brandon's uncle, Russell Harrison.

Perkowitz, Hall announce nuptuals
Jody Marie Hall, of Sterling; and Joseph Robert Perkowitz, of Elizabeth, Colo., plan to wed July 9, 2011, at the home of the bride's parents, Jody is the daughter of John and Tina Hall, of Sterling. The bride-to-be is a self-employed housekeeper and a bullcook for Inlet Drilling. Robert is the son of Christopher and Lynette Perkowitz, of Elizabeth. The future groom is a field operator for BP Alaska. The couple met at the Kenai Boys and Girls Club at a swing dance 3 1/2 years ago. During a well thought out birthday gift for Jody on July 8, 2010, Joe proposed on the mountain at Alyeska Resort, Girdwood.

Lindow, Tieaskie engaged
Sharon Lindow and William Tieaskie, both of Soldotna, announced their engagement to be married Dec. 30, 2010, in Maui. William proposed to Sharon July 28, on Cannery Road Beach. The future bride is the daughter of Erik and Rita Lindow, of Kenai. She completed massage school in 2009 at Blue Cliff Schools of Massage, in Fayetteville, Ark., and is currently attending Kenai Peninsula College. She works at The Fitness Place, in Soldotna. The future groom is the son of Tim and Cheryl Tieaskie, of Hot Springs, Ark.; and Glen and Lisa Burkhart, of Soldotna. He works as a commercial fisherman. The couple met in high school at Cook Inlet Academy, in Soldotna. Will and Sharon will host an open house at the groom's mother's home on K-Beach Road, Jan. 15, 2011, at 2 p.m. Please Contact Sharon or Lisa for directions.

Kristen Lazenby and Brandon Foster were wed May 30, 2010, at Villa di Felicita in Tyler, Texas. The Rev. Dennis Rivers performed the ceremony.
