Reader: All words created equal — no matter who says them

Posted: Tuesday, November 29, 2005

Pretty harsh words coming from Carol L. Kellers in her Nov. 18 letter to the editor.

Referring to those who chose to publicly reveal their opposition to this war as “self-loathing, anti-American anti-military, anti-war pacifists.”

Carol implies that her family’s extensive military participation qualifies her to express her opinion.

Maybe Carol should be reminded that every American’s opinion is equal, militants and pacifists alike, as is their Constitutional right to express it — anywhere, anytime.

It’s troubling that some people seem to not understand much about the freedom we’re supposed to be fighting for.
