2nd Time Around Bazaar coming

The 2nd Time Around Christmas Bazaar will be held at the Kenai Senior Center Dec. 8 to 10, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. A Christmas Bake Sale will be available, as well. Donated items for the bazaar will be accepted until Tuesday, Dec. 7. Donated baked goods can be brought in anytime after Wednesday, Dec. 8. Soldotna Historical group board meets

The Soldotna Historical Society will hold its monthly Board of Directors meeting Saturday, Dec. 11, 9:00 a.m., at the Fine Thyme Cafe in River City Books, Soldotna. The meeting is open to the public. For information, call 262-4157.

Immunizations available

The Kenai Public Health Center has appointments available for immunizations in Kenai and on Thursdays in Soldotna. To schedule an appointment or for questions, call 335-3400.

Volunteers needed for No One Dies Alone

Volunteers are needed for the No One Dies Alone (NODA) Program at Central Peninsula Hospital and Heritage Place. The volunteers are trained to sit with a person who is dying who has no one to be with them. Free family legal advice

The Alaska Legal Services Corporation will sponsor a free family law clinic at the Kenai Courthouse, Thursday, Dec. 9, at 5:30 p.m., This clinic is designed to teach people how to start a divorce or custody case. The attorney teaching the class will lecture on divorce and custody law and will provide forms from the Alaska Court System for filing a case.

Snowshoe Gun Club meets

The Snowshoe Gun Club holds its annual membership meeting Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building. The annual budget will be presented, along with discussions on future plans for facility development. Voting for seats on the board of directors will take place. General members in good standing who are not already voting members can register as voting members and pay the five dollar upgrade at the time of the meeting, prior to voting. Boy Scouts District Committee meets

The Great Alaska Council, Boy Scouts of America Tustumena District will be holding its District Committee meeting on Dec. 2, 6 p.m., at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association. All District Committee members and commissioners need to attend. Directly following will be our District Round Table from 7 to 8 p.m. Youth Protection training will start from 8 to 8:30 p.m. All registered adults must take this training, and this will be the last group session for the year. Alumni hockey on tap

The 15th annual Kenai Central High School and Soldotna High School Alumni Hockey Game takes place Dec. 23, 7 p.m., at the Soldotna Sports Center. Alumni from Kenai, Soldotna, Skyview and Nikiski should contact Rick Koch at 398-0190 for registration information. Teams are limited to 20 skaters and three goalies. Santa will be there for the kids. Wet and dry sections. Admission, $10 for adults, $5 for children, students and seniors.

The Kenai Peninsula Fair is hosting the annual Christmas Craft Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the fairgrounds in Ninilchik. More than 20 vendors are registered so far. Tables are still available. Contact the fair office at 907-567-3670 for more information.

LEGO tournamant at Challenger Center

The 2010 Kenai Peninsula FIRST LEGO League Tournament is Saturday, Dec. 4, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Challenger Learning Center, 9711 Kenai Spur Highway. Sterling Senior Center serves prime rib

The Sterling Senior Center will host a prime rib dinner on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, from 5 to 7 p.m. Served with the prime rib will be a baked potato, green beans, tossed salad, rolls, beverage and a fruit cocktail for dessert. Cost is $15 for adults, $8 for children 3-10, and free for children under 3. The drawing for the winners of the "Cash for Christmas" raffle will be held and the SASCI Choir will perform. Tsalteshi Trails Youth Ski Program starting

Registration is now open for the Tsalteshi Trails Youth Ski Program. Youth ages 6 to 12 are invited. The program runs from Jan. 15 to March 5, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m., and some Saturdays.
