Volunteers are needed for the No One Dies Alone (NODA) Program at Central Peninsula Hospital and Heritage Place. The volunteers are trained to sit with a person who is dying who has no one to be with them. The Alaska Legal Services Corporation will sponsor a free family law clinic at the Kenai Courthouse, Thursday, Dec. 9, at 5:30 p.m., This clinic is designed to teach people how to start a divorce or custody case. The attorney teaching the class will lecture on divorce and custody law and will provide forms from the Alaska Court System for filing a case.
The Snowshoe Gun Club holds its annual membership meeting Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building. The annual budget will be presented, along with discussions on future plans for facility development. Voting for seats on the board of directors will take place. The Great Alaska Council, Boy Scouts of America Tustumena District will be holding its District Committee meeting on Dec. 2, 6 p.m., at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association. The 15th annual Kenai Central High School and Soldotna High School Alumni Hockey Game takes place Dec. 23, 7 p.m., at the Soldotna Sports Center.
