ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A teacher at a Christian school was arraigned Friday in District Court on felony charges of having sex with a student.
Brion K. Williams, 28, is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old Heritage Christian School student in September at his apartment.
Williams faces three counts of third-degree sexual abuse of a minor.
Williams has no criminal history. He was the school's athletic director and was fired in November after he admitted to the relationship, the school's chief administrator said.
It's illegal in Alaska for a teacher or anyone in an authority position to have sex with someone under 18.
