The train food drive is held from now through Dec. 17. The students and staff will collect nonperishable items for the holidays for The Salvation Army. "Tracks" will be set up in the school so each class can collect as many items as possible. The school is doing this as part of the Character Counts trait of caring.

The Young Shoppers Club will be open at the school Monday through Dec. 10. YSC gives students the opportunity to pick out their own gifts for family and friends during school hours. Look for the flyer and budget envelope that was sent home with students.

The first-, second- and third-grade Christmas concert is titled "A New-Fashioned Christmas." It will be held in the Nikiski Middle-Senior High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16. To volunteer to help with the production, call Mrs. Pilatti at the school.
