The PTA is coordinating the Holiday Kindness program. Families who need help with Christmas should call Mr. Syverson as soon as possible. Monetary donations in any amount will gratefully be accepted. Call the school office for complete information.

The following students will represent the school in the Elks Hoop Shoot competition: Zane Miller, Delaney Love, Evan Withrow, Kelsey VanAntwerp, Tate Syverson and T'essa Tovoli.

The holiday canned food drive continues through Dec. 15. Students collected 400 cans of food to give to families for Thanksgiving. The school goal is to collect 400 cans of food for the food bank for Christmas.

Santa's Shop is coming Monday through Dec. 9. Complete information will be sent home soon. Parents who would like to help with this shopping experience for children should call Teresa Williams at 260-8075.

The fifth- and sixth-grade band will perform a concert from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the gymnasium.

The fourth- through sixth-graders will present the musical "The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree" at 6 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Soldotna High School Auditorium. There is no charge.

The school will be closed to all staff and the public Dec. 19 through 31 for cricket extermination. Copies of the MSDS sheets on the spray being used are available at the school.

Yearbooks will be presold for $15 trough Friday. Yearbooks ordered after Friday will cost $18. Yearbooks will arrive in May.

Dec. 17 is Red and Green Day. All students and staff are invited to dress in Christmas colors and clothing.

Grades four through six are participating in a Discovery toy fund-raiser through Friday. Funds will be used for a special field trip in conjunction with Project Reward.
