Mrs. Sotelo's class will participate in the state Robotics Competition in Anchorage on Saturday. The students are designing and programming Lego robots that complete tasks intended to be helpful to individuals with disabilities. Sotelo's class also created cards for the Random Acts of Kindness Society. The cards will be distributed to individuals who are ill or shut in.

The intermediate class dissected salmon last week with the help of Fish and Wildlife staff. The students completed this activity as part of a project monitoring the health of Soldotna Creek and basic environmental studies.

Mrs. Holt's class baked bread, made its own butter and corn pudding as part of their studies about the fundamental needs of people.

Mrs. Larned and Mrs. McCabe's class are continuing its studies of the fundamental needs of people.

Mrs. Overturf's kindergarten class is studying mammals. They also are learning the names and uses of common household tools. The students use the tools at their workbench to complete building projects with parent volunteers.
