Cookie fundraiser set to munch

Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church will host its 11th annual cookie by the pound fundraiser from 10 a.m. until the cookies are sold out at the church at 225 S. Spruce St. in Kenai.

Mushroom society to meet

The Kenai Peninsula Mycological Society will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Beginners and seasoned collectors are encouraged to attend. For more information, call Steve Scott at 262-3541 or Janice Chumley at 776-5277.

Quilters plan party

The Ninilchik Quilters by the Sea will hold its Christmas party at 6 p.m. Monday at the Ninilchik Senior Citizens Center. Members are asked to bring a dish to share and an exchange gift of quilting notions valued at $15 or less.

Teenagers to be discussed

Paul Turner will give a presentation on the psychology of teenagers from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Kenai Community Library conference room.

The presentation is the third in a year-long series of monthly presentations focusing on mental health topics given by area mental health professionals. For more information, call 283-4378.

Soroptimist hold sweet fund-raiser

Soroptimist International of Kenai Peninsula is taking orders for See’s Candy. Proceeds from sales will help provide assistance to women on the Peninsula and the Young Women’s Conference. Senior service meeting slated
