Sterling resident Warder Clifford Showalter IV died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at his home in Sterling from complications of colon cancer. He was 37.

At his request, no services are planned.

Mr. Showalter was born Sept. 21, 1965, in Kenai. He was raised and received his education in the Kenai-Soldotna area. He graduated from Soldotna High School in 1986.

He worked as a miner and was a heavy equipment operator throughout Alaska. His hobbies included shooting, hunting and fishing.

Mr. Showalter is survived by his wife Twyla Showalter; son Logan; daughters, Maryah and Nadia; mother, Wanda Showalter; sister, Anita Johanson; and brothers, David, Henry, Lloyd and George Showalter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be taken to any Wells Fargo Bank, account No. 8200314436.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
