CIRCAC to hold quarterly meeting

The Cook Inlet Regional Citizens Advisory Council will hold its monthly meeting Friday at 9 a.m. at the Downtown Mariott Inn in Anchorage. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call (800) 652-7222 or 283-7222.

Governor to hold open house

Gov. Frank Murkowski will host an open house Saturday from 1:30 until 3p.m. to recognize the opening of his new office in Kenai. The new office is at the Peninsula Job Center in the Kenai Mall. Trails association to meet

The Tsalteshi Trails Association will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Kenai River Center. Association board members will be elected during this meeting. Anyone interested in the trails is welcome to attend. For more information, call LuAnn Reynolds at 283-5062.

Band fund-raiser planned

A dessert silent auction fund-raiser to help purchase new uniforms for the Kenai Central High School band will be held Dec. 14 at the Renee C. Henderson auditorium at KCHS. The event will take place during an intermission in the band concert scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. A variety of homemade holiday desserts will be availible to bid on. Home holiday decorating contest ongoing

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Home Decorating Contest during the month of December. The chamber is asking for anyone with a tip on well-decorated houses to call or e-mail by Dec. 13. Winners will be announced during the chamber's weekly meeting on Dec. 15. Prizes of $100 Homer Electric Association energy credits will be awarded.
