Kenai Peninsula College recently was presented a $100,000 piece of equipment from Agrium to be used in the college's process technology and instrumentation degree programs.
The fully operational digital distributed control system (DCS) was retired by Agrium in October. KPC Professor Allen Houtz worked with Agrium to arrange the donation.
The system already has been installed in the KPC simulator lab and will allow students the opportunity to work on and troubleshoot industry-standard automation systems.
