Mrs. Meyers hosted science specialist Jim Fredrickson, who directed the fifth- and sixth-graders in dissecting earthworms. The students used the scientific method as they sought to learn about the part an earthworm plays in decomposition.
Mrs. Thompson's third-graders have begun a solar system expedition as part of their study of Earth and space. Last week, the students made vegetable soup and tasted many different squashes as part of celebrating Thanksgiving.
The Christmas program, under the direction of Erin Southwick, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the school and will feature grades four through six in a musical about Santa. The public is invited to attend and encouraged to bring a can of food for the food bank.
