Tustumena Elementary

Tustumena is conducting a food drive for The Salvation Army through Dec. 12. Families may send nonperishable food items to school with their children or drop off their donations at their convenience.

The school has a wide variety of winter clothing to offer needy families. This inventory will be on display in the parent room this week. Parents are welcome to stop in to see if there are any items that fit their needs.

Students in grades four through six will compete in the geography bee at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the multipurpose room. Mrs. Knobf is the coordinator of this event. The school's winner is required to pass a written exam in order to qualify for the state geography bee to be held in April.

Have you picked up your PTO cash raffle ticket yet? The big day is Saturday. The winner receives $5,000. Ticket holders are entitled to a catered dinner beginning at 6 p.m. served by the folks at the Tustumena Lodge with the drawing to follow at 7 p.m.
