Former Alaska resident Diane M. Eide died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, at her home in Portland, Ore. She was 40.
A funeral mass was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. Paul Catholic Church and burial followed at St. Paul cemetery in St. Paul, Ore.
Ms. Eide was born July 30, 1966, in Salem, Ore. She spent her earliest childhood years in Kodiak. She attended elementary school and junior high school in Anchorage and Glennallen and attended high school in St. Paul. She earned a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Oregon State in Corvallis. She was the recipient of many athletic and scholastic awards during her school years. Ms. Eide had most recently been deployed as a research analyst for Nike Corporation in Beverton, Ore.
She is survived by her parents, Sterling and Roberta Eide of Kenai; brothers, Matthew Eide of Newberg, Ore., Tom Booher of Anchorage and Lee Booher of Inverness, Fla.; and sister, Dana Craig of Forest Grove, Ore.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Oregon Ballet Theatre, 818 SE 6th Ave., Portland, Ore, 97214.
Arrangements were handled by Simon-Woodburn Funeral Chapel in Woodburn, Ore.
