Donations make evening of information even better

On Nov. 13, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District counselors from Connections Home School, Kenai Central, Nikiski, Skyview and Soldotna high schools, along with Kenai Peninsula College, held a Financial Aid Night for local high school students and their parents.

The event was a fabulous opportunity for approximately 200 parents and students to receive valuable information about financing post high school academic pursuits.

Our deepest gratitude goes to Carrie Burford from Kenai Peninsula College for being an outstanding presenter of college financial information. We could not have done it without you.

We also would like to thank Fred Meyer, Safeway and Regal Foods (cookies and snack items); Kaladi Bros. (coffee); Coca Cola (bottles of water); and Sean Dusek and KPBSD (promotional items).

The event would not have been such a success if it were not for all of the donations.

We appreciate your help. Thank you for supporting our local youth.
