The Kenai Peninsula ABATE will hold its annual Toyz-for-Totz fundraiser at 9 p.m. Saturday at The Place Bar and Motel. Raffle prizes and split the pot are planned. Live music will be provided by Trouble Calls. Big Jon's Cafe will serve food. For more information, call 283-2292.
Soroptimist International of the Kenai Peninsula will hold its annual See's candy fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 13 and 20 at the Peninsula Center Mall in Soldotna. Candy also is available from Lyn Hodel at Soldotna Professional Pharmacy.
Ruth Missik will teach a beginning beading workshop at from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Kenai Community Library. The class will be limited to 10 participants (ages 12 and older). Participants will need to register at the library and pay $20 to purchase supplies, which will be used to make a fishnet elastic bracelet.

The Kenai Central High School Hockey Booster Club is looking for central peninsula alums to play in a KCHS vs. Soldotna High School alumni hockey game at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Soldotna Sports Center. Players must have proof of 2008-09 USA Hockey registration and need to sign up by Dec. 10 to receive a game T-shirt. Registration is $25. The game is open to all alumni of KCHS, SoHi, Skyview and Nikiski high schools, regardless of age or skill level.
The match will pit KCHS alumni against SoHi alumni with Skyview and Nikiski alums placed on either team as needed. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children, students and seniors.
Santa Claus is planning to be at the game for the kids. Beer and wine will be available for purchase in a restricted area. Proceeds will benefit the KCHS hockey program. To register, call Lisa Gabriel at 283-2175, and for more information, call Rick Koch at 283-8222 or 398-0190.
