Grace Lutheran Church and School will host "Christmas for Kids," a program to share the real meaning of Christmas, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the church off K-Beach Road, one block down on Ciechanski Road. Kids ages 3 years old to sixth-grade may attend. There will be Bible teaching, singing, arts and crafts, games and cookie decorating. Pastors Rick and Pia Beckers are a missionary couple residing at the Merit Inn as missionaries assisting Love Inc. in supporting the homeless and the poor. Classes for anyone interested in the Catholic Church will be held each Wednesday evening at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The classes are held in O'Neill Hall on Redoubt Avenue at 6:30 p.m. each week. Those attending will learn about the teaching of the Church based on the teachings of Jesus Christ to His disciples.
