Soldotna chamber hosts BP speaker

The Greater Soldotna Chamber of Commerce's weekly luncheon meeting will be today at Noon at the Riverside House. The speaker will be Paul Richards, British Petroleum gas-to-liquid project manager. Lunch is $10. For more information, call 262-9814.

Resource management meeting planned

The Kenai Peninsula Resource Management Coalition will hold a press conference Thursday at noon at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building in Kenai. The primary mission for the organization is to ensure that the needs of those residents of the peninsula who have historically, traditionally, culturally and spiritually depended on the resources of the peninsula are met.

The purpose of the press conference is to discuss a local solution to the Resource Allocations on the peninsula, including fish, game and flora and fauna. R.S.V.P. with Mark Powell at 776-8006.

CPR classes available

The American Red Cross offers monthly community CPR classes, including first aid with adult, child and infant CPR. The next available class is Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $58. For more information or to register, call 262-4541.

Photo exhibition on display in Kenai

The Kenai Peninsula Photographers Guild presents "Lights, Camera, Alaska!" a photographic exhibition on display at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center through Jan. 25. The opening reception for the exhibition is Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. with refreshments available.

The Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free during the winter.

Aviation safety meeting to be held

There will be an aviation safety meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Kenai Merit Inn. The topic will be "Lubrication Misconceptions" with Ed Barnes of Exxon Corp., an industry expert with a wealth of information. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation. Ninilchik Fire Department meeting slated

The Ninilchik Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual membership meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ninilchik Emergency Building.

Cook Inlet RCAC board of directors to meet
