Kasilof biathlete Jay Hakkinen had a rough day in the opener of the World Cup competition in Ostersund, Sweden on Wednesday.
A member of the United States Ski Team, Hakkinen took 62nd in the 20-kilometer individual competition, while teammates Lowell Bailey, Jeremy Teela and Russell Currier finished 15th, 102nd and 109th, respectively.
