FFA chapters appreciate use of Elks Lodge for training

Posted: Friday, December 05, 2003

I would like to thank the Homer Elks Lodge on behalf of the Homer, Ninilchik and Nikolaevsk FFA Chapters.

Last month the Elks donated space in their facility for our initial chapter training. Officers and members from all three chapters attended and learned a great deal about the opportunities

provided by FFA and the responsibilities we will be expected to fulfill. If it weren't for the generosity of organizations like the Elks Lodge, many community and youth groups, such as the FFA, would not be able to be as effective and successful.

The FFA is a dynamic youth organization focused on agricultural education that changes lives and prepares students for leadership, personal growth and career success. Our local chapters proudly represent the Kenai Peninsula's up and coming youth in the areas of agriculture, fisheries and natural resources.

One of the FFA's goals is to serve and enhance local communities. The Elks Lodge has set a fabulous example of such community dedication and we look forward to working with the Elks again in the future.

Thank you!
