The Kenai Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Christmas Comes to Kenai event Friday. It never fails to bring the community together year after year.
Due to our community volunteer efforts, the event has been around for 31 years and counting. We wish to thank everyone who bundled up and joined us for the festivities this year.
Special thanks for our fantastic Electric Lights Parade entrants: Carlile, Home Depot, Cold Stone Creamery, Kenai Peninsula Outdoor Club, SOAR International Ministries, Edward Jones, American Legion Local 1539, Alaska Nurses Association, Cedar Products of Alaska, Pop Warner Football of the Kenai Peninsula, Kenai Performers, Victorian Carolers, Kenai Central High School Drumline, Mattress Ranch, Kenai Fire Department, Stanley Chrysler, Stanley Ford, Kenai River Brown Bears and Peninsula Racing Lions.
Special thanks to the volunteers that donated time and energy to make this event a success: Kenai Convention and Visitors Bureau, Kelly and Laurie Bookey, Girl Scout Troop No. 623, Leroy and Chris Heinrich, Sharon Allen, Sherry Grimm, Willa Tallman, Chet Soares, Homer Electric Association, Lynden Transport, Mayor Pat Porter and the Kenai Chamber Board of Directors.
