Moderate quake shakes Aleutians

PALMER (AP) -- A moderate earthquake shook the Aleutians Tuesday, but there were no reports of any damage or injuries.

The quake, which had a magnitude of 5.4, occurred at 1:12 p.m. and was centered about 85 miles southeast of Nikolski, said Paul Whitmore of the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center.
