Spooky event a hit with kids

I would like to take this opportunity to give thanks to the generosity of our community.

On Halloween this year, the Kenai Elks were able to host a completely free to the public spooktacular carnival for the children of our community. This party would not have been possible without many Kenai Elks members, volunteers and the generosity of businesses and NPO’s from around the Kenai Peninsula, as well as Anchorage.

The sponsors included Kenai Elks, Kenai Lions, Malston’s, Spenard Builders Supply, Three Bears, Pizza Boys, Dairy Queen, Coca Cola, Peterkin Distributors, The Duck Inn, H2Oasis, Pizza Hut, Kenai Blockbuster, Soldotna Blockbuster,The Blue Grouse, Subway, Toys ’N’ Gifts, Orca, Trustworthy Hardware, Home Depot, Radio Shack, Arby’s, Beemun’s, Kenai Safeway, Kambe Theater and McDonald’s.

This year was a success, thanks to everyone involved, including the parents who brought their children to enjoy the event.

Hopefully with continued support from the community, we will be able to turn this success into an annual event that will give the children of our community a warm safe place to have a “spooktacular” time every year.
