1 Cup (2 sticks) butter
3/4 Cup white sugar
3/4 Cup brown sugar
1 Large egg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla or whiskey
3 Cups quick cooking oats
1 Cup raisins (soaked to rehydrate)
Preheat oven to 350 F. In large bowl, cream butter, and sugars until fully. Add egg and mix well.
Beat in salt, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla (or whiskey) until blended. Stir in flour, oats and drained raisins. Drop by heaping teaspoons
2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 min. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
