Sears Elementary

Posted: Wednesday, December 08, 2004

Ms. Ralston's first-graders have been writing letters to Santa, creating stories using their imagination and learning about word patterns. For part of their body unit, the students traced their hands and one of their feet and created reindeer with them. Students also learned about the skeleton and that without their bones, they would be a "glob."

Student looked at a variety of x-rays to see what bones look like under their skin. The students also are learning several songs about their bodies.

Miss Fischer's class brought in the Christmas season by making a paper countdown chain. Students are making decorations for the holiday season.

Thank you to Mrs. Larson for all her hard work putting together the holiday concert, "The Polar Express." The students practiced diligently and the program was wonderful.

Friday will be Silly Sock Day.

The Kenai Senior Citizens Center line dancers will visit Dec. 16 during the lunch hour.

The "Grinch" and the the Kenai Performers will visit Sears on Dec. 17 at 10:50 a.m.

There will be no school Dec. 18 through Jan. 3.
