Volunteers, sponsors give clinic shot in the arm

Posted: Thursday, December 08, 2005

We would like to thank the volunteers for their help at the free rabies clinic held Nov. 5. in Soldotna. Thanks go to the city of Soldotna, Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Earl Ellingson, Soldotna Animal Hospital and Dr. Tim Bowser, Marianne Clark, Cyndy Laramee, Sharen Sleater, Ed Sleater, Anna Johnson and Trina Sanford.

Every year veterinarians participate in keeping the surrounding communities a much safer and healthier environment for all. They volunteer their time, care and assistance. The state of Alaska furnishes the vaccine, the city organizes and hosts the clinic and the veterinarians alternate their free vet services.

The clinic not only provides the service for the residents of Soldotna but the entire Kenai Peninsula by giving them the a chance to bring in their cats and dogs for a free rabies vaccination.

We also would like to thank all the past volunteers, as this event is held each year.

Please give our volunteers a pat on the back if you see them!
