Annual brunch planned

Kenai Aglow will conduct its annual brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska in Kenai. The speaker will be Nancy Haney. Tickets, which cost $10, may be purchased by calling Lisa at 260-3159.

Matrix Church to meet

Matrix Church will meet at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Triumvirate Theater in the Peninsula Center Mall. The theme is “It is Better to Give.” Dr. Phil will help Kermit fine tune his Christmas list. The Edgedrama team will perform and there will be prize drawings and turkey given away. Hootie and the Blow Pops will perform “Hotel Can’t Afford Ya.” For more information, call 262-7416.

Christmas play set to entertain

Starlight Drama Team of Lighthouse Community Church in Nikiski will present a Christmas play called “Christmas Crosstalk” at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Winter musical planned

First Baptist Church of Kenai will produce its winter musical “Daniel Darius and DeLion” at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Shaping your life class offered

Christ Lutheran Church is offering “Lifeshapes and Transforming Truths” classes Tuesday mornings and evenings and Wednesday evenings. Various shapes are used as guides for learning, growth, purpose, peace and prayer and improving busy lifestyles. An introduction class begins in January. Holiday tea to be served

Peninsula Take-a-Break will host a Christmas tea party luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday At Solid Rock Conference Center, Mile 90.5 Sterling Highway.

Christmas music and tea trivia with Connie Goltz are planned. Darla Wales will be the featured speaker. Her topic will be “Seeing True Reflections.”

Cookies available to order

Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ Church is taking preorders for its annual cookie fundraiser. Deadline to order is Wednesday. The cost is $4 per dozen. For more information or to place an order, call 262-5525, 262-1714 or 262-1763.

Holiday concert set to entertain

A holiday concert will be performed at 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna. It will consist of a variety of music featuring the Redoubt Chamber Orchestra as well as other groups and soloists. Admission is $10 per person and children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra scholarship fund. For more information, call Tammy Vollom-Matturro at 283-0781.

Church adds a preschool

Immanuel Baptist Church, home of Wings Christian Academy, will extend its ministry to include preschool. Enrollment for children ages 3 and 4 is being accepted for next semester. Preschool will begin Jan. 3. For information, call 283-9361.
