KWF to host open house

The Kenai Watershed Forum will host an open house from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at its office in the Blazy Mall in Soldotna. It is open to the public. Refreshments will be available. For more information, call Josselyn at 260-5449.

HEA membership meeting set

There will be a special meeting of the HEA membership at 4 p.m. Friday at the Kenai Visitor and Cultural Center. The meeting is for the purpose of proposing an amendment to the Articles of Incorporation to raise the amount of indebtedness of liability to which the corporation shall at any time be subject; to propose an amendment to the bylaws providing for the election of directors by district; proposing an amendment to the bylaws establishing a limit on terms of directors. Registration for voting purposes will be from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.

PSDRA meeting planned

The Peninsula Sled Dog Racing Association will meet at 7 p.m. Friday at the Kenai River Center. The meeting is open to the public. A mushing movie will be shown at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call Mindee Morning at 283-3954 or Mitch Michaud at 262-4977.

Christ-centered addictions group forming

Reformers Unanimous, a national Christ-centered addictions program is forming a chapter in Kenai. It will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Fridays at the Immanuel Baptist Church on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Also being offered is "Kids RU" a children's program that teaches children of Reformers Unanimous participants how to avoid addictions. For more information on either program, call 283-9361.

Christmas bazaar set

The Ninilchik Native Descendants will host its annual Christmas bazaar from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ninilchik School gymnasium. For more information, call Jamie Leman at (907) 567-3361 after 6 p.m. weekdays.

Genealogical society to meet

The Totem Tracers Genealogical society will hold its resource Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kenai Community Library. For more information, call Cheryl at 283-4481.
