Longtime Alaskan and Kenai resident Regina "Gina" Lee Caudle died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009 at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna. She was 42.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Ms. Caudle was born Oct. 29, 1967 in Eureka, Calif. She moved to Alaska in 1985 and resided in Kenai. She worked for Frontier Physical Therapy but had to stop working due to illness.
"Gina loved boating and the outdoors. She was famous for her barbecues.
"She was a loving mother to her son, the love of her life. She adored animals and was a very strong woman. She was understanding, compassionate, and a person of many rare qualities. The world will be less without her and she will live in the hearts of many. She will be waiting for all her friends to join her for a bonfire at the next barbecue," her family said.
Ms. Caudle was preceded in death by her father, Charles Baird.
She is survived her son, John Robert Caudle of Kenai; mother, Sandra Caudle of Kenai; sister, Christina Baird of Eureka, Calif.; her life partner, John Carsner of Kenai; nieces, Samantha and SuZanna Church, both of Eureka, Calif.; great-nephew, Robert Pratt of Eureka; and several other family and friends.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
