Dinner On Demand: Pizza Gift Card

Posted: Wednesday, December 10, 2003

(NAPSA)-Here's a holiday gift idea that's easy to give, requires no assembly and fits right in your wallet: a gift card. Gift cards account for some $30 billion of annual gift spending and are one of the most commonly requested gifts. Studies show more than 45 percent of U.S. consumers have used gift cards for a variety of goods and services.

Especially popular this holiday season is a gift card that's always in good taste. It's the new Pizza Hut(r) gift card, available at over 5,200 participating locations in the U.S. It comes in amounts up to $100, it's chargeable in increments of $5 and can be used for dine-in, delivery and carryout orders. The gift-giving possibilities are many:

For youngsters, give a pizza slumber party package: a pizza gift card in a pizza box with games, movies, hot cocoa mix and invitations for them to send to friends.

For students, give a study session survival kit: in a first aid box, include a pizza gift card along with popcorn and snacks, coffee, notebooks, pens, pencils and a dictionary.

For homemakers, create a recipe book. Cut out simple recipes from magazines and glue to recipe cards with the promise that one family member cooks one recipe one night a week. Include a Pizza Hut card as an emergency back-up.

For sports buffs, give an evening of Monday night football. In a box decorated with logos and photos of his favorite team, include a team jersey, a universal remote control, game schedule and a pizza card with a note that he can invite his friends over for an evening of football.

For babysitters, co-workers, teachers, neighbors and loved ones, say "thank you" with a handwritten note that includes a pizza card.
