The site council meeting scheduled for today has been canceled. The council will meet in January.
Kindergarten through third-grade students will present the concert, "Sights and Sounds of the Season" at 6 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Soldotna High School Auditorium.
All Holiday Kindness gifts will be distributed Friday. Families will be contacted to schedule pickup. The staff thanks Anne Bixby and all the volunteers who helped brighten the holidays for 19 Redoubt families.
The school has T-shirts, sweatshirts, fleece vests and polo shirts for sale at the office.
The staff and students thank the following volunteers for making the Young Shoppers Club such a success: Nita Larson, Anne Bixby, Lori Young, Kathy Howard, Debbi Bass, Carrie Bilstad, Deanne Pokryfki, Kami Zeek, Seane Oglesbee, Trenna Kooly, Wells Fargo employees, the student council, Mr. Mills' class and Corbi Aaronson for coordinating the event.
The district is requesting input from community members on school budget issues by Monday. Survey forms are available at the school office.
The lost and found will be emptied Friday. Remaining items will be donated to local charities.
The school is looking for donations of used or new winter coats, snow pants, gloves, hats, scarves and boots for students.
The staff congratulates Genevieve Gallagher and TJ Earll for correctly guessing the staff members from the clues in the hallway.
Mrs. St. Onge's class is selling Christmas candygrams during lunch to raise money for the American Red Cross. Candygrams cost 50 cents and will be delivered to students Dec. 18.
