The staff and PTA members congratulate the following Reflection winners: Mikayla Anne Miller, best of show; Annamarie Sayman, Kaitlynn Boyer, Marie Boyer, Trace Braxling, Marshall Thompson, Christina Bahl and Kassy Ferganchick, visual arts; Michael Reese, Trace Braxling, Nanette Daigle, Lacey Moore, Sara Daigle and Derrick Linthicum, literature; Trace Braxling, photography; and Haley Rose Trefon, musical composition. These students' entries will be sent to competition with the Alaska State PTA. Honorable mentions went to Destiny Tipler, Micah Sterling, Jade Stumo, Ciarra Mahan and Coltin Yancey, kindergarten through second-grade visual arts; Katie Markesano, Ashley Gerola, Denali Goodwill, Logan Showalter, Megan Parham, Nanette Daigle, Krissy Barker and Samantha Skuse, third- through fifth-grade visual arts; Kassy Ferganchick, Shonnie Larrow, Mandy Groshart, Ashley Gerola, Alec Woodvine, Tammy Markham, Lexi Graybeal, Mike Griffin and Jasmine Clock, sixth-grade visual arts; and Rebecca Morehart, literature.

Artist Graham Dane is visiting the school and working with students on art projects including a new mural in the library. A "Night of the Arts" reception will be from 6:30 to 7:30 Dec. 18. The reception will be an opportunity for the community to see and hear the students' productions. The band will play from 6:30 to 7:30, and student art productions (including the Reflections art pieces) will be on display throughout the building. The public is encouraged to attend. Dane will be in attendance.
