The staff congratulates Faith McKinnon for being the Agrium Character Counts student of the week. She will receive a medium pizza from Pizza Hut for lunch.

Eighth-grade students Chris Heinrich, Billy Ritchie, Halyn Lipps, Derrek Harris, Daniel Kaser and Andrew White are working in the school shop, building two 16-foot wooden dories. The students work after school on the project. One dory has been presold and the other will be raffled off, hopefully before Christmas break. The public is invited to stop by the boat shop and see the students progress.

The student council is collecting canned and boxed food items for the annual food drive. Items will go to area residents for the upcoming holiday season. Donations should be turned in to room 13 before school. The grade level that brings in the most food will receive an ice cream party at lunch.

Yearbooks are on sale for $26. Order forms are available at the office.

Sears, Mountain View and KMS are working together to help families in the community who are facing financial difficulties this holiday season. Those wishing to make a donation or are in need of help can call the office. Deadline for application is today.
