2 cups (8-ounces) fresh or frozen chopped sweet onions
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup coarsely grated or shredded parmesan cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
If using frozen onions, press out water. In a mixing bowl, blend onions with cheeses, mayonnaise and red pepper. Spoon mixture into a 1-quart shallow baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Makes 3 cups. Recipe may be doubled. Serve with crackers, pita rounds or toast points.
