Food bank board to meet

Kenai Peninsula Food Bank board of directors will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the food bank. It is open to the public.

Bridge construction to be discussed

The Kenai River Center and Kenai Watershed Forum winter series speaker will be Scott Harter, project manager for Wilder Construction for the Kenai River Bridge in Soldotna. His topic will be the behind-the-scenes story of the construction of the bridge.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kenai River Center at Mile 1.6 Funny River Road. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 260-4882, ext. 238.

Berry growers to meet

The Alaska Berry Growers will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building on Kalifornsky Beach Road. The topics will be cultivation of wild Alaska blueberries as well as other berry species. For more information, call 394-2590.

Photos with Santa available

The Boys and Girls Club of the Kenai Peninsula, Kenai Clubhouse will host pictures with Santa and a craft fair Sunday.

Ninilchik potluck slated

The annual Ninilchik Community Christmas potluck and play, “The Case of the Missing Meaning” will be held at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at the Ninilchik Fairgrounds.

Community members are asked to bring their favorite dish to share.

Alcohol and drug abuse council to meet

Cook Inlet Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse will meet at 5 p.m. Dec. 18 at its office at 10200 Kenai Spur Highway, Kenai. The council is seeking community members interested in being a board member.
