Midnight Sun Volleyball to hold tryouts

The Peninsula Midnight Sun Volleyball Club will hold tryouts for the 2008 season at Kenai Central High School on Thursday and Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Players age 18 and under are asked to bring playing gear and wear a numbered shirt. Those that are interested in playing, but cannot be at the tryouts, are asked to contact the high school coach or the club director as soon as possible. Kenai Central to celebrate its hockey history

On Dec. 20, Kenai Central High School will be celebrating 30 years of hockey excellence during the varsity game between Kenai and Soldotna. All attending alumni will be honored at a reception prior to the game. The reception starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Soldotna Sports Center conference room. Hockey photos from the past 30 years are needed. The photos can be dropped off at the Kenai branch of Wells Fargo Bank, attention to Junie, or the photos can be e-mailed to kchshockey30@hotmail.com. All alumni will receive free admission, a limited edition hat and a group photo that will be taken between periods one and two. For additional information, contact Kathy at 283-3403.
