Soldotna chamber to host SoHi students

The Greater Soldotna Chamber of Commerce's weekly luncheon will be held today at noon in the Riverside House in Soldotna. The speakers will be Soldotna High School students Lisa Sizemore and Kara Merril, discussing Sharing the Spirit. For more information, call 262-9814.

Pratt Museum hosts WHIZ Kids

The Pratt Museum in Homer will begin its Winter Hours Imagination Zone, or WHIZ Kids program beginning today, and every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday in the lower level of the museum. Folks ages 5 to 95 are welcome to come to the museum between 3 and 5 p.m. for arts and craft activities that explore history, art and cross-cultural connections in the museum's collections and exhibits.

Airport commission to meet Thursday

The city of Kenai's Airport Commission will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Kenai City Council chambers at city hall. For more information, call 283-7535.

MS group meeting planned Thursday

The Soldotna-Kenai Multiple Sclerosis Self-Help Group will meet Thursday in room 3 of Central Peninsula General Hospital's former Family Recovery Center from noon to 2 p.m. For more information, call 262-8395.

Open house scheduled at Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club of the Kenai Peninsula will host an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. There will be music, tours, the annual art show, holiday cake decorating and eating, other refreshments and the ribbon-cutting ceremony on the new elevator. For more information, call 283-2682.

Sterling Community Club cancels meeting

The regular December meeting of the Sterling Community Club has been canceled due to the holidays. All members should be sure to attend the next meeting on Jan. 18 in the log cabin on the corner of Swanson River and the Sterling Highway.

First aid classes offered

The American Red Cross is offering two community first aid and safety classes Saturday. The course meets OSHA requirements. Preregistration is required. For more information, call 262-4541.
