Era helps local food banks

Era Aviation, in conjunction with local food banks in the communities they serve, will offer special rates for travel Dec. 13 through 15 with the donation of a turkey or ham. Travelers can fly round trip between Anchorage and Kenai for $79 and between Anchorage and Kodiak for $109. Outbound travel must occur on Dec. 13 or 14, with return travel from Dec. 13 to 15.

Reservations should be made through Era Aviation's reservation office at 1-800-866-8394. Customers should ask for the Holiday Food Drive Fare. Turkeys and hams need to be presented to the Era Aviation counter in the originating city on the day of travel.

Business Web development workshop offered

The Kenai Peninsula Small Business Development Center is sponsoring a workshop entitled "Website Renovation, Getting it Right" from 1 to 4 p.m., Dec. 18, at the Red Diamond Center. David Edward-Smith, owner of Borealis Designs, will outline the tools and strategies that create a successful Web presence, including content, development and new interactive management solutions.
