The Cook Inlet Academy volleyball team took fifth place on Saturday at the Class 1-2A state volleyball tournament at Dimond High School.
The Eagles lost the third-place game to Kenny Lake on Saturday, 25-12, 25-21 and 25-21. Tiffany Smith was named the player of the game for the Eagles.
On Friday in the semifinals, the Eagles were swept by New Stuyahok. The scores were 25-15, 25-14 and 25-15. The player of the game for the Eagles was Chermaine Yarnes.
Kelsie Leaf made the all-tournament team for the Eagles, while Yarnes was named the best defensive player at the tournament.
