ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Tour companies will hold a job fair in Anchorage on Dec. 20, hoping to reach college students home for the holidays who want to work in the tourism industry next summer.

Representatives of Denali Park Resorts, Grayline of Alaska, Princess Tours, CIRI Alaska Tourism, Major Marine Tours and Alaska Sightseeing will be among the companies taking applications, answering questions and scheduling interviews at the Egan Civic and Convention Center.

The Alaska Travel Industry Association estimates that the tourism industry fills about 19,000 jobs annually, many of which are seasonal. College students make up the industry's largest group of seasonal workers.
