Christmas musical tonight
Performances of "Hope Has Come," a musical of the Peninsula Grace Brethren Church, are scheduled for 7 p.m. today and Saturday at Mile 19.5 of Kalifornsky Beach Road.
Tickets for the annual musical are $5 each and include a Christmas dessert served at intermission. Tickets may be purchased by calling the church office at 262-6442 or online at www.peninsulagrace.org.
Native fellowship to meet
The North Wind Native Fellowship, an inter-denominational Native outreach, meets at 7 p.m. today at Peninsula Grace Brethren Church, 44175 Kalifornsky Beach Road, Soldotna.
People are asked to bring some finger food and meet some brothers and sisters of the Lord. Meetings are held every other Friday. Every fourth gathering is a Native potluck.

Holiday kids program planned
Children from 3 years old to sixth grade are invited to play games, decorate Christmas cookies, make Christmas cards for loved ones and learn the true meaning of Christmas at a "Christmas For Kids" program from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, one block off Kalifornsky Beach Road on Ciechanski.
Also at 1 p.m. Saturday, a 15-minute "Christmas Kids Concert" will be presented to all the parents.

Singles conference slated
Faith Christian Community of Anchorage is hosting a single adult and a single parent conference at its Parkside Campus.
The single adult conference will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and the single parent conference will be from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Sunday.
Both conferences are free and will feature guest speaker Barbara Schiller. Child care will be provided.

Christmas musical presented
The Calvary Kids Club of Calvary Baptist Church will present a Christmas musical called "'Twas the Last Mailing Day Before Christmas" at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, 208 Lawton Drive, Kenai.
Created by Jim Custer, Bob Hoose and Dennis and Nan Allen, the musical presents a message of hope through sharing with someone else. Pastor Phil Reemtsma invites the public to attend. For more information, call 283-4781.
Jesus' birth celebrated
The Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ in Soldotna will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ all month long.
On Wednesday, the assembly celebrates with the annual "Birthday for Jesus" service at 7 p.m.
A praise and worship service at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22 will include the performance of the cantata "The Way He Came" sung by the church choir. Other musical selections will be featured and the service will close with a special Christmas message.

Clothing ministry open
First Baptist Church of Soldotna's ministry "New 2 U" is collecting used toys in good condition to be given away Dec. 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 159 N. Binkley Ave.
The church's New 2 You clothing ministry is closed for the month of December.

Potluck and musical planned
An all-community Christmas musical program and potluck will begin at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 22, in the Carol Bock Hall of the Ninilchik Fairgrounds.

Healing Rooms open
The Healing Rooms, a Bible-based Christian ministry in Kenai, is open every Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Precept Ministries training institute planned
Precept Ministries International will conduct a training institute for students, leaders and potential leaders Jan. 16, 17 and 18 at the Kenai Christian Church, 104 McKinley St., Kenai.
Sponsored by Precept Ministries International of Chattanooga, Tenn., the institute teaches inductive Bible study skills for those preparing to lead discussion groups. Bible study observation, interpretation and application skills also are taught.

Writers sought for faith anthology
Writers from Alaska are invited to share their own experiences of the power of prayer and faith in an anthology to be published in the latter half of 2003.
The anthology, "A Matter Of Faith," is being compiled by Arrowhead Publishing to provide examples of the positive power of prayer. Writers are invited to submit essays of up to 750 words that share their own experiences of how their faith has helped them meet major challenges in the journey through life.
Anyone whose work is selected will share in the royalties from book sales.
