Greg D. Corner
Longtime Kasilof resident Greg D. Corner died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at his home. He was 55.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Kasilof Community Church. Pastor Paul Kupferschmid will officiate.
Mr. Corner was born Sept. 22, 1949, in Eureka, Calif. He grew up and received his education in Eureka. He moved to Alaska in 1974. While in Alaska, he worked for D and A Grocery Store and also the Alaska Department of Fish and Game doing various jobs. Mr. Corner retired from Fish and Game on Oct. 1, 2004.
He was a member of the Kasilof Community Church and Ducks Unlimited.
Mr. Corner enjoyed fishing and duck hunting on the Kenai River flats.
Mr. Corner was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Corner; son and daughter-in-law, Garth and Melissa Corner, who are stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany; granddaughter, Danielle Corner of Germany; stepsons, Dan Galloway of Kasilof and Diamond Galloway of Mississippi; stepgrandchildren, Brandon Galloway and Steven Galloway of Mississippi and ShaeLynn and Thomas Galloway of Kasilof; mother, Barbara Corner of Eureka; brother, Glenn Corner of Eureka; and a niece.
Donations may be made in Mr. Corner's name to Ducks Unlimited.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
