Holiday decorating contest deadline today

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Home Decorating Contest during the month of December. The chamber is asking for anyone with a tip on well-decorated houses to call or e-mail by today. Winners will be announced during the chamber's weekly meeting on Dec. 15. Prizes of $100 Homer Electric Association energy credits will be awarded. To report a well-decorated home, call 283-7989 or send an e-mail to info@kenaichamber.org.

Holiday sports camp set

The registration deadline for the Boys and Girls Club's holiday sports camp is Friday. Children in grades third through fifth are eligible to attend. A variety of sports, including basketball, flag football, soccer and volleyball, will be taught. Camp will run from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 27 through 30. For more information, call 283-2682.

Soldotna Elks table tennis results

Bob Sizemore and Andy Szczesny won the Soldotna Elks Lodge's doubles table tennis tournament Wednesday. Wayne Brooks and Matt Farris placed second, and Rob Coreson and Gary Brumley finished third.
