Kenai Chrysler Local Drop Point for Troops

Posted: Tuesday, December 13, 2005

With the holiday season upon us, many people are looking for ways to share the season with U.S., Armed Forces serving oversees. As the local Jeep(r) dealer, Kenai Chrysler Center is an official drop site as part of a nationwide effort to send care packages to our troops.

Dubbed “Operation Gratitude”, this program provides local residents the opportunity to show their support towards the servicemen and women, with Jeep(r) taking care of the shipping of care packages. Since it began, over 98,000 packages have been shipped to U.S. troops. Some of the suggested items that are being collected at Kenai Chrysler Center include: Prepaid phone cards, disposable cameras, individually wrapped moist towelettes, commercially sealed lip balm, instant powdered juice mix, knit caps and gloves, commercially prepared jerky, candy or sunflower seeds. Personal unsealed letters of appreciation and cards are also welcome.

More information on Operation Gratitude can be found at

or by contacting Kenai Chrysler Center.

Collect your items today, the deadline is Dec. 15th.
