CES processional route changed

Posted: Friday, December 14, 2007

Central Emergency Services has changed the route of Saturday's processional honoring paramedic Cameron Carter and the crew and patient of the LifeGuard helicopter that went missing on Dec. 3.

The processional will start at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Wilson Lane, turn right on Kobuk Street and continue until it reaches Soldotna Bible Chapel on the corner of Kobuk Street and Marydale Ave. Central Emergency Services Chief Chris Mokracek said the police department will be controlling traffic and he doesn't anticipate the roads to be closed for more than 30 minutes. The only main intersection that will be blocked is Kobuk Street and Redoubt Ave., but Mokracek said it wouldn't be blocked longer than five minutes.
