The Kenai Central High School Hockey Booster Club is looking for central peninsula alums to play in a KCHS vs. Soldotna High School alumni hockey game at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Soldotna Sports Center. Players must have proof of 2008-09 USA Hockey registration. Registration is $25. The game is open to all alumni of KCHS, SoHi, Skyview and Nikiski high schools, regardless of age or skill level.
The match will pit KCHS alumni against SoHi alumni with Skyview and Nikiski alums placed on either team as needed. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children, students and seniors.

Kenai Public Health Center is offering free flu shots for children ages 6 months through 18 years through Vaccines for Children Program. Flu Mist, the intranasal vaccine, also is available for children ages 2 through 18.
Children may be vaccinated from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the center and Thursdays, except this week, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in Soldotna at the Cottonwood Health Center. Call Kenai Public Health at 335-3400 for more information.
The Challenger Learning Center of Alaska in Kenai will host Wonders of Space and Science from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 30. All ages, children must be accompanied by an adult. Experiment with hands-on, interactive activity stations. All children will receive a "Passport to Science" book to present at each station to receive a stamp of completion.
