Kenai Montessori

Posted: Wednesday, December 15, 2004

This month the children are learning about the continent of Antarctica. They also will learn about the solar system and winter solstice to help them understand why it is colder and darker during the winter.

Thank you to all of the parents who donated items for the cultural exchange box that was sent to the sister school in Africa. The next cultural exchange box will be sent in January to the sister school in New Zealand.

The children received a cultural exchange box from the sister school in Texas last week. Parents are invited to visit the classroom and see the items.

Any parents who would like to order an extra copy of the International Montessori magazine that featured an article on the school or a copy of the school's video, call Bob.

Parents are reminded to notify Rachel of how many guests will attend the Winter Solstice family night and performance.

Congratulations to Melissa's new violin students, Kerry, Sarah, Victoria and Omen.
