The aviation classes took a field trip to Kenai last week and were given instruction on navigation with the Civil Air Patrol. Students also were introduced to a Cessna 172 and a De Havilland Beaver at the CAP hangar. The Kenai Flight Service gave a description of its role in aviation, from weather information to aiding in search and rescue missions. Students also were allowed to climb the Kenai Control Tower to see how control tower operates.

Sophia Taeschner's design was selected for the cover of the yearbook. Congratulations to her.

The staff would like to congratulate the band and choir students on the Christmas concert. Thank you to directors, Mrs. McKay and Mr. Schneider. The staff also appreciates the parents who took the time to attend the performance.

The yearbook is available for $20 until Friday. After Christmas the price will be $25.

At 7 p.m. Thursday in the multipurpose room, the seventh-grade drama class will preform a student-written play. Last Monday, the eighth-grade drama class held its performances.
